OHSS (ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome)

60-second summary

OHSS happens when the ovaries react too strongly to fertility medicines. They swell and fluid leaks into the belly. Most cases are mild and settle on their own, severe OHSS is rare, and doctors have good ways to prevent it. Breathlessness, very little urine or severe pain need hospital care right away.
